well he was admitted this am for tests and x rays, at the mo they think it is bladder stones.
waiting for a call from the vets to tell us whats going off with him and ? op if needed to remove them/it.
been quoted 1000 pound for the op.
just wish they would phone so i know whats happening, if they can fit him in today they will if not prob tom if an op is needed.

thanks can't stand not knowing gonna give them a ring.
she doesn't think its prostate but going to look at it on the x ray etc, on feeling his tum said its bladder is full and swollen,still drinking but not getting rid of the same qty.
but no temperature ? infection.

yeah just got off the phone.
no stones or anything wrong with his bladder.
they think its hormonal and the way she spoke thinks it could be cushings disease.
so they are keeping him over night to monitor his fluids in and out to ensure his bladder is ok and then running more test.
they drained over 1 lt of urine from his bladder and ppumping him with fluids to stop dehidration.
only thing that has shown in test is his liver is slightly raised so it is also a indictor of hormones rather than the physical function.
got to ring back tom about 10 to see if they are happy with him.

they think he could have cushing disease not confirmed yet.
what do you know about it?
the vet said it can be treated with meds etc.

horses can get cushings but not sure if its same sort of outlook with dogs,
