Thank you, all.

I wish it would all be over, Bitkin, but we still have the recovery to go and that will take a good couple of months.

But yes, the surgery will be over thankfully. I feel sick thinking about it all but she's in good hands.

I know Westie, it seems as if it stretches ahead of you forever but once you get into the routine it does all become easier. I used to cross the days off the calendar!

When Bitz was done, we rigged up a sort of chicken wire frame around the front door so that it could be left open and she could sit in a tiny space outside...........however, that was in the Summer and I doubt that you would wish to do that at the moment

All I can say is that all things pass eventually - before you know it you will be doing a little bit more than taking her out for a wee on lead before coming straight back in. She will probably not want to do much for some time anyway, especially if the vet withholds pain killers as mine did with Bitz; it stops them from using that leg too much before they should.

Good luck, and try not to worry too much. Easier said than done I know.

Sorry to hear Molly has injured her leg I hope she cope well with the op and recovery. Also hoping she doesn't get any bad osteoarthritis.

Vet phoned about half an hour ago.

Molly's had her surgery and all has went to plan and she's recovering nicely from the anaesthetic. Post op x-rays are fine as well. Thank god for that. All going well, she'll be home tomorrow.

Really looking forward to getting her back, though I am bit scared and apprehensive about the leg as it'll be quite fragile for a while. Here's hoping we manage ok.

Thanks for all the well wishes and I'll keep you updated.
