Very pretty dogs! The first one is exactly like Akela, but Akela has the black german shep muzzle. Same markings on coat though, and what I find interesting is that the tail is identical... I have seen a few gsdxhuskys and pics of northern inuits and this tail seems to come through alot, big bushy grey, with the black tip and that small black mark near the dock. If Akela didn't have that black snout, no one would be able to say she was anything other than northern inuit. I would love to see the records to see how much of each breed was used at the beginning of the NI breed. My guess is not alot of malamute, and more of the others, perhaps most gsd to get rid of the curly tail? I don't know, jsut a guess! Just really interested in phenotypes, sorry for being geeky!
