Good books!

I haven't read for a while! Just wondered if any of you knew of any good books to read. The best books i've ever read are Virginia Andrews... Flowers in the Attic.
I have got a real urge lately to get my teeth into a good story.

Any suggestions would be truelly grateful. Thx

Jules X

It isn't his usual type

Rita Hayworth and shawshank redemption (made into the film shawshank redemption)
The Body (made into the film Stand by me)
Apt pupil (made into the film apt pupil)
The Breathing method

More emotional type of thing than usual and i'm sure you'd enjoy them

It's difficult to suggest, it's a very personal thing I think, what I like may leave you cold!
I tend to find an author I like - such as Joanne Trollope - then borrow or buy everything they have written - then start again Libraries are good to "have a go" at something new. I borrowed one book that had rave reviews and once I put it down, I couldn't pick it up again just couldn't get into it at all.
Beware some that have been turned into films. I loved the Bridget Jones' Diary novel but thought the film was c**p. Ditto James Bond. On the other hand, I can't imagine any of the Austin Powers films as a novel!
