New year bangs!

I let the dogs out (I have 3 extras) at 10 and there were some bangs then.

Billie is frantic if she hears them so I now have Superstar on the TV---hopefully it will be a noisy bit at midnight 'cause I don't think the springer that is staying is going to cope either.

Good luck to everyone else who has dogs freaked by bangs.

I feel for you guys, I really do Amazingly my wimp of a dog isn't at all bothered by fireworks or gunshots (we live near the shooting range) but my last one was a wreck for weeks after bonfire night and new year.

We've only heard a couple of bangs and they were distant and at 12.20 am (well, it is Lincolnshire )

My old lad is very deaf now and he's never been overly bothered by them, but every time I hear them, it brings memories flooding in of my little girl who went to the bridge. She used to be terrified of them, bless her

Mine were reasonable till a rocket landed in the garden. So we went to bed and put the radio on loud.
I wish, oh how I wish, I had a lawn.
Then I could have mowed it around 7 this morning.

See I don't get it with Sadie - she can run around a woods (well near them) and hear gunshots go off and she isn't bothered - a firework goes off and she's a piece of jelly in dog clothing!

Hedge trimmer?
Dog barks?
Ringing their doorbell and running off over and over again?

Of course for the last one you'd need to know who it was..

Thankfully only one of mine is bothered by them. However, I feel for all the animals out there that have fears and I think fireworks should be restricted, at least.

It's not only animals who are scared, my friends young child woke up in the middle of the night terrified

Axel was completely oblivious to the bangs...my father-in-laws Westie (we were visiting) was terrified and as midnight struck he was peeing everywhere during the toast...bless him
