A friend for Louie...

Hey guys,

We're looking for another dog an older one, 5+, as I think a puppy would be too much and an older dog would help Louie and his manners, possibly a rescue or a rehome, but I want a gundog breed. Louie has introduced me to it and I like it. So what breed do you think would compliment Louie. Doesn't matter if it isn't a gundog breed.

What breed would compliment a Lab x Springer? Or if it's easier - what would compliment a lab and what would compliment a springer?

What about an older Lab or Springer, to state the obvious? LOL. Plenty of those in rescue.

I've tried to find them, but all the labs and springers in my area are 1-3 years old, they're fine but too young - I have a puppy still, I need a more mature dog.. if that's understandable..

I would also say lab x springer or collie x. Lots of collies in rescue.

Oh I did find the beautiful lab x springer - but she found a home - looked spitting image of Louie without the white on her...

I have a golden retriever and Springers are one off his favorite breeds, as well as labs.

A Lurcher, enough energy and stamina to keep up with him
As a gundog, I'd say a springer spaniel
