Chewing wooden furniture?

So recently my 2-year-old greyhound has started to chew on the corners of wooden shelf's and tables. He'll just be lying down and the next minute i'll find another chewed corner. He has lots of toys/chew toys and gets two walks a day + training sessions so I don't think its boredom, more like he just likes the feeling of sinking his teeth into wood. Is there any way to stop him from doing this? Thanks.

Dogs and cats do not like the smell of the oil of citronella - and it is commonly sprayed on to furniture you want your pets to avoid.

I don't like the smell either but it does work
