Wine Recommendation

For those of you who love to have a few good bottles of wine, we stumbled across a divine NZ sauv wine (big fan for obvious reasons) but this is truly lovely - a great summertime white!

Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2004

Style: A classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc which shows intense gooseberry and passionfruit characters for which this area is renowned.

Serve: with fish, seafood, white meats and poultry, it also makes an excellent aperitif.

It's so delicious!

I also recommend any wine from Chard Farm in NZ - it's also based in the South Island and the majority of their wines are superb but can be hard to find - if you do see it, worthwhile popping a few in your cart

What about you? Do you have any wines that you could recommend?

hahaha LOL

Everyone likes different stuff - I need to hook you onto something light and easy to drink - if it tastes like vinegar then something is definately wrong LOL

Did you ever see the Strongbow halloween ad with the evil apple and pumpkin?

I love the Marlborough Sauv Blanc although we've downed a lot of Pinot Grigiot this 'summer'.

I don't know much about wines but I prefer Sauvignon Blancs to Chardonnays.

The one I like at the moment is quite cheap (under 5) and is called Chileno. I've brought the bottle upstairs (any excuse) to type what it says on the back:

" ... is a crisp and zesty white wine with an abundance of gooseberry and herbaceious aromas ..."
It goes on to say it's dry and smoothe and refreshing and goes with shellfish, light pasta or just on its own (suits me )
