Thanks everyone. I don't think I've ever seen a poodle with a moustache, but I think I have to agree with you all! Bit of an idiosyncratic thing to put on a plate - was it ever in fashion?

I would say it is defiantly a Miniature Poodle, I have seen a poodle with clipped ears leaving just a fringe on the end.

If it is it has a funny shaped head
A Dandy's head is much bigger /wider and the hair is not clipped around the eyes/nose like that and the beard is fuller and on top of the nose .

The ears are a bit like those of a a Bedlington
