With jess i found that they had put a morphine patch on her leg under her bandage. So thats probabley why she came running out of surgery.

The first few days she was trying to do far too much than what was good for her. When she went to the garden, i had a lead on her and the sling under her belly for support, holding both ends with my right hand. But she tried almost trotting out and i had to slow her down. Inside i confined her to my small kitchen. If you have other dogs i would be inclined to seperate them for a little bit. You will need to careful and make sure that they try and rest, normally because they are soar they slow right down anyway.

With the car i lifted her in and out and she weighs 55kg. I have one step in my garden and i supported her belly high so she didn't catch her leg on it if that makes sense.

good luck i am sure in a few weeks things will be much better.
