Your very first job

What did you all do when you very first left school ?

my first ob was in a shipyard got sacked after two hours as i was a newbie tricks got pulled guy told me to bring an iron bar over to him for a job he was on but he had heated it up with a blow torch and it burnt my hand needless to say he end up hurt himself

When I was in school I worked at a Dairy Queen for 2 weeks before finding that I couldn't stand it. When I got out of college I worked at a pharmacy/store, then I worked at Petsmart and Subway for a few years.

Temporary relief postie (holiday cover) in the summer before I went to Uni., then as a temp in the old DHSS (paid the princely sum of £9/19/6 (£9.9 a week.

Hi, I worked at an estate agents and I HAD to wear an absolutely horrible BRIGHT green uniform! Only stayed there for 9 months which is understandable!!!

i have never worked. i stayed on in school for a year and then 2 week after leaving in the summer i had my first baby.

I left college and went to work for my father!

I worked 10 hrs a day at a riding school/ stud farm in exchange for 2 riding lessons a week. I loved it and only stopped as my uncle offered to buy me a horse and pay me £35/ wk to do his housework.

Well I started working in a Cafe when I was 12 the owners also had a clothes shop which I worked in too, when I left school I got a job in an Office of an Enterprise Company I carried on working in the Cafe at eveninig and weekends and the office during the day, this lasted till I was 19 and I finally gave the cafe up as I was doing 8-5 in the office then 6-10 in the Cafe during the week and Saturday's and Sunday's in the Cafe. That said I was loaded lol cause I was just paying my mother digs and nothing else everything else was mine!

now dont you lot laugh but my first job was a lift attendant in what was then called benzie millers oh my god I can still remember 3rd floor ladies wear hats and shoes sooo funny now but at the time for my sat I got £1.00 and thought that I was rich must be getting really old there are no such thing now I had a wee hat and trouser suit ha! cute or what !
