I saw the guy who played Terry Duckworth in Tescos of all places
The guys from Caravan (a prog rock band famous in teh 70's but we still go and see them!)
The guys from Colosseum (same as above )
See a bit of a trend there ...?
My BIL is a very well respected inclassical guitar circles and I've met him lots of times

Name-dropping time again, I see! Well........

Tony Blair (at school)
Alistair Darling (a sparring-partner at Uni) **
Nigel Kennedy, violinist
Yo Yo Ma, cellist
Claudio Abbado, conductor
Salvatore Accardo, violinist
Maurizio Pollini, pianist
Alfred Brendel, pianist (sat next to him at an Edinburgh Festival concert)
Gareth Thomas (Rojj Blake, from Blake's 7, later London's Burning)
Got within three feet of Mikhail Gorbachev once
The late Russell Hunter (Lonely, from "Callan") **
Came out of work one day and got jogged into by Brian Blessed
Michael Barratt (ex-"Nationwide") **
Kyung-Wha Chung, violinist
Peter Donohoe, pianist
Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, composer and Master of the Queen's Music (he lives up here)

** Alistair Darling and I were on opposing campaigns to elect a new Rector for the Uni. Russell Hunter was my man, Michael Barratt was Alistair's man. Nobody knew who Alistair was then. Many of us didn't want to....

I wonder if any of them ever say they know me.......................?

Snorri
