Oh I know exactly what you're going through.

I found one on my Leo in march on the day I was bringing him to kennels and we were to go on holiday!!! I wanted to cancel the trip I was frantic!

Turned out to be just a fatty lump.

Hopefully that's all jintys is too xx

How did you get on at the vets?

I never like to second lumps and bumps at all, in any dog of any age as it could be a number of things. I'd rather recommend you see the vet to find out for sure, which you have done.

Hope it's nothing to worry about.

As others above have said: if it moves, this is a good sign. It is probably a fatty lump or a cyst. These are very common! Don't panic, but do get your vet to check it out. If it's not causing pain, they're totally harmless and only need to be removed if they're causing discomfort. Good on you for spotting it, and I hope it's just a lump.

I do hope your vet appointment went well. Such a worry for you but everything crossed that the lump is simply a fatty deposit.
Let us know when you know more.

Could *possibly* be a bruise - Jin whacked herself on a hurdle this Thursday. Vet not worried - Jins going to have a 'quiet' week to see if it goes down (which would indicate a bruise), if not, she'll have a biopsy.

So no flyball, ruff games with other dogs, tearing around or wearing harnesses for her this week!

Everything crossed in hope that it is just a bruise. Vet said it is possible as its near such a boney area and popped up overnight....

My boy is nearly 15 years old. He has quite a few little bumps on the top of his skin and right up under his skin. None bigger than maybe lima bean sized. They are benign skin tags. Though at this point in his life, I would not be surprised if one time we went to the vet and they found a cancer. I hope your doggy just has a fatty tumor or cyst or something.

Fingers crossed for you that it is just a bruise. It sounds like keeping her quiet might be a chore lol
