PRA testing results published

The Kennel Club has just announced that 5 more breeds have had their Optigen prcdPRA DNA tests approved - Poodle (Miniature), Poodle (Toy), Retriever (Chesapeake Bay), Retriever (Labrador) and Retriever (Nova Scotia Duck Tolling).

This means that all Optigen results will be published in the BRS and on registration certs. I know these breeds have had their DNA tests for quite some time..... can't understand what takes the KC so long to get onto this. I started proceedings to have this same test approved for Finnish Lapphunds, when ours was first launched over 18 months ago and they're still not included!

How long actually is it Becky, that Poodles have had their tests?

Not 100% sure but at least 5 years! The KC only accepted the eye examination and that was it! As we all know that never told you whether your dog was a carrier or not.
