You don't need an expensive camera
Do you really need an expensive camcorder to take good videos? they answer is no
here is an example of a video from my camera, a small compact Nikon Coolpix L26 shown below.
Cost on ebay under £50 as now out of production
And here is a short video I just took to prove my point using that this camera can do a decent job of taking videos
So this begs the question as why the video side that most cameras have now a not put up on here?
Bit pointless having cameras that can take videos and not use them

i do use the video function on my camera when i remember to take it with me...i do however always have my phone with me and i take piccies and vids on that

But a slightly more expensive camera will give you better quality photographs as a rule......
