He's a very good dog, especially if they didn't get it right in the first take.

And after all that torment he's still in a sit stay left alone with a packet of biscuits and a glass of milk as the wee boy walks off.

I wouldn't worry about adults being influenced by the ad. Stupid is as stupid does.
My concern would be children copying what they see on tv, waving the biscuits infront of their own (or someone else's) dog's face.

Whether it's adults or children I think the message is irresponsible and I've complained to the Advertising Standards Authority.

It does send out a bad example to children. The other thing is the child says something like 'Oh I'll have to eat yours then,' implying that it's OK to feed a dog Oreos. I don't know how high the chocolate content is in them, but I certainly wouldn't give one to a dog!

I buy biccies from pah for Toro that looks just like them and I always say to her do you want an oreo, they smell delicious...
I really don't think anyone would have been daft enough to think he is unsupervised, there is a whole camera crew there lollol

I mean unsupervised within the boundries of the sketch!!

Unfortunately people are stupid, I can remember waaaayyyy back when there was the plane crash on Emmerdale [Farm] (as it used to be) and there were actually people writing and ringing to offer their spare rooms for all the people who had been made homeless!!

Also I think the advert is primarily aimed at children. Although the dog in the ad seems to be the child's dog, the ad doesn't send a good message to all those children watching who DON'T have dogs, about how children should behave around dogs.

Neither would mine, but they make it very clear that they want it!

Snorri-dog has been known to get up on the table and help himself to half a plateful of leftover curry, but he only did it once! (Wrath of God descended on his bum!)
