Hibiscrub

I've seen people on here recommend hibiscrub for cuts on dogs paws. I got some today but not sure if it's the right stuff... whats the stuff people on here use? And how do you apply it?

The last bottle I got was a pump from Boots called Hibi but it was chlorhexidine. I usually dilute it with warm water when using it.

I think there is only one brand of Hibiscrub, so if it says it on the bottle...

I also dilute a bit in warm water.

I have it for the horses in industrial quantities. For the horses i put it on a brush/my hands rub into area, hose off while rubbing. Never used it on a dog!

It says hiboscrub on the bottle and says 'skin cleanser'. There was a space for another hibiscrub product but it was empty... This is the one the pharmacist ordered for me though...

Sounds like the same stuff, afaik, theres a pump action bottle and a screw cap bottle. I just dilute a little in a bowl of warm water and either dunk his paws in or dab and wipe with cotton wool, depending on why I'm using it. Good stuff.

I agree, always dilute it and rinse well. although it has excellent cleansing properties, it can be an irritant and is extremely drying. It can be bought at most Saddlers/Equestrian Supplies.

It is used in Hospitals for washing hands before operations.

Normally you dilute it but you can use it neat and then rinse off.
I guess it depends what you are trying to achieve and the area it is being used on.
