Grief is a personal burden that no one else can share.

However having been a similar position in the past, I understand the conflict which you faced.

I will remember him as the "polar bear" in the snow.

So very, very sorry to hear your news and also that you have had to make such a difficult decision.

Bailey will now be able to see all the wonderful things around him at the bridge and he'll be blessed with light while he waits to be reunited.

Run free big lad xxx

I hope the fact that you know you made the right choice for you, him and your family offers a small amount of consolation.

RIP

Thanks to all for your replies, thoughts, hugs and kisses

It means such a lot to be able to put it down in words to people who even if I don't know you personally, I know that at the end of the day, we are all dog lovers and we can understand each others feelings and dilemmas about our best friends, the good, the bad and the ugly

So, Thank you again for all your advice and support during this difficult time

He was so beautiful.
I know you will have so many happy memories. I am sure that you did the right thing - he is now at peace.

i am so so sorry what an utterly hard impossible decision, and one that can't have come easily... For what its worth, you let him go with dignity with the love that you still felt for him, and no fear for him, i love that photo with him in the towel, and thats how you should remember him in happy times.

run free sweet boy xxxx
