She is doing really well thanx Lizzy, she is looking much better than we could have hoped for at this stage, no muscle tone, but looking very healthy.
The pups are starting to play with each other one even sat up and barked at me yesterday i was surprised

It'll be all fun and games soon! I bet they'll be more than a handful!! I'm really pleased Jazz is doing so well, I think you said its her first litter (?) how is she with the pups?

she is fab lizzy, especially after the c section, it could have all gone bad, but she has been a wonderful mum!!

It must have been such a worry for you, you always hope things are going to go smoothly.

Do you have good vets? We've never bred a litter of pups, but have had 2 foals. When my mare was pregnant with our first foal our (then) vets told us they may not be available if things went wrong during labour, and obviously with it being a horse we couldn't pop her in the car to take her into the surgery! We changed to a practice that specialises in equines after that, but luckily the birth went without a problem. We've still not found a small animal practice that we are completely happy with though... Anyone recommend any around Cheltenham?!!
