Setter Agility Success :) Chuffed
Hope you don't mind but I am just so chuffed with Maxy at our agility club last night and wanted to share as OH not really that enthused LOL!
After his 'dead/cold' tail he hasn't had the zest as much as usual but last week he went in all barking and 'up for it' - I was chuffed to bits then! Was worrying he had lost the enjoyment and will never do something he wouldn't enjoy!
Well last night again he went in tail up and wagging - and following on from the beginners full course we were doing the same course - I had already commented that I thought Max would like it (meant me of course!!!)
We were also being timed - Max just flew round - it was a reasonably straight forward course but there were a couple of places where easily the dog could choose the wrong fence due to bad positioning / body language (of which I can be dreadful!!!) but no he went clear.
He did it in 40 seconds - one of the fastest clears!!!
The second course was rather more tricky but again no problem with Maxy he bombed round and shaved off two seconds coming in at 38 seconds clear!!!
This may be not be much but to be honest we haven't actually done many clear rounds at training usually something goes wrong and certainly not as quick as that - again I know these aren't superfast times!!! (someone did 29 seconds and another 32!!) but for a setter think this is pretty good?
I wish I had got both video'd for me but didn't really have anyone to do for me and you don't always expect to do as well as that!
He was my star
Don't think anyone else could believe the setter fool actually got round too
Sorry for being so excited but just so darn chuffed with the boy
