Not sure how it would work on an 8 month old dog.
I was told 2/3% for an adult, but for a pup, 10% of their body weight or 2/3% of what they adult weight would be, if that makes sense.
But I'm not sure what an 8 month would be classed as.
I suppose you'll just have to see how she goes.

10% of her body weight(at the moment) would be 9lbs of meat a day!! That seems like a LOT!

As an estimate, I did her adult weight (but it's hard to say what that would be really!), but I worked it out as about 2.2 lbs meat per day.

Yes that does seem far too much.
I'd stick to what you originally said.
Mine get about a pound a day.

Thankyou for all your help Mitch

I'll stick to about 1.8 lbs a day, and higher/lower it, according to what Teagan thinks!

Will keep you updated on how we are doing

Teagan LOVES the veggies, so I think i'm just going to add a small portion a day - she can't get enough of them!
Kingsley isn't to keen on the veggies, but loves the chicken wings!

I read a post from another forum and that was enough to put me off raw feeding.

All the meat I feed has been frozen - which kills all bugs living on it

Whats the article in 'our dogs' about?

EDIT: I forgot to say - Teagan actually ate her brekki this morning!(Her first raw brekki) She doesn't normally eat it, but she was sat at my feet while I was preparing it, and loved it!

It mentioned things like parasites in the meat (mince etc) that can cause serious illness in the dog.
Ive thrown it away now so cant write it up for you. Can anyone else help??
