Wish me luck please

Hi All,

I was at the vets with Yiannis yesterday (he was neutered) and saw a notice on the board for a 10 year old GSD needing to be rehomed.

Hi sowners have split up and the guy he's left with is out at work all day.

On Saturday I'm going to see him with Zane. He'll be slowly introduced to the dogs one at a time then all together at his home, in the park, out on a "normal" street walk then at my home before I'll consider taking him. Obviously he has to get on with the doglets I already have but he's very sociable. I've seen him out walking without realising it. His owner walks him off lead eerywhere (maybe mine can learn a few things from him).

He'll be introduced also to my Son. Getting along with him is the most important thing.

Assuming every thing goes OK, we'll have another GSD. At 10 years old he's still active but is a lot calmer than my loopy pups so maybe they'll calm down a bit (weishful thinking??).

Anyway - wish me luck please? I hope it al works out for him and us. But only time will tell. I'll post back after we've met him. I'll be taking my camera so if they stay still long enough I'll post up some (hopefully) nice piccies of him.

Laura xx

Thats so nice of you.
GOOD LUCK.EVERYTHING IS CROSSED FOR YOU.
i know you will already probarly know this, but just a gentle reminder, but let the dogs meet on nuetral ground, away from the dogs home, preferbly a field where none have been.try not to let them meet face on.best ive found that works is also just meet up and set of straight away for a gentle walk on lead with you both having own dog.If they want to then sniff behinds that fine.Hope you dont think i think you dont already know all this, but sometimes with the excitement some of it can innocently be forgotton. As the first meeting between two dogs that are going to hopefully be living together is so vital to get right.
All the best again.xxxxxx
