New kitchen pics (well half of it lol!)

Just came home to an almost half finished kitchen, and wow, once that wooden worktop got put on, it's looking almost finished - can't quite believe how hard Dave's been grafting this morning coz when I left I had the old worktop on the new cabinets.

Before, when Dave had just opened up the doorway


and 5 week-ends later I now have this, one side almost done! View from the lounge through the hatch (I love that hatch it's staying!)

The breakfast bar at the end has been chopped in half temporarily, and it will of course, end up all the way across underneath the hatch in the new worktop with the leg in the middle!


somebody must have put a rocket up his ass this morning lol! Thanks for looking Next week he's starting on the other side God help me, that'll mean washing up in the bath for a while then

The food centre fits great

I've never liked my kitchen from the day it was finished, but I've gotta wait a while before I dare mention a new one. Unfortunately, we had very little choice from what was available to the timeframe we needed when we bought this place, but next time will be very different.

Bet Dave is really chuffed with himself - if not, he should be

ETA - never could fathom why the hatches went out of fashion. So very useful for putting stuff through in the kitchen (coffee cups etc)
