Glad to hear Poppy's doing well after her visit to the vet, and although I posted yesterday, it's gone so maybe I didn't hit the "send" button Sorry Elaine, coz I did post up after reading about her visit to the vets. More hugs coming her way, I hope she's back to normal in no time, and I'm also hoping it hasn't set her back at all with her socialising with other dogs, coz that would be just awful, but I'm sure she's forgotten all about it already!

You can get little lace up boots from P@H for that open wound in her pad? I've got one somewhere, and if you want, I can post it off to you if I can find it of course, I only used it once when I nipped Georgie's claw back too far!!! Failing that, you can wrap it up in vetwrap, then put some duck tape over the top to make it waterproof just to take her out in, and then cut it off as soon as you come indoors, it will work just as well!

All the best with her, I hope she's not feeling too sorry for herself today, especially after her roast lamb! xxxxx

Thanks Helena, I have some vetwrap from Bruce (the vet), although she dont like it much...tuff!!! if she wants to go out then she has to have it on.
Yea she is so much better today, she even let Ben lick it for her. It must have been so sore yesterday and it was making her grumpy. I think the painkillers have kicked in along with the antibiotics.
She will soon be back to normal, that sore paw does not stop her having a nosey on the worktops though
Ben seems more settled and back to normal too, it must have upset him...bless he is so gentle....gentle Ben, wasn't that a bear I am showing my age
Elaine xxxx

ps, must tell you this if I have alreadytold you then am sorry(memory like a brick), Chris came home from work last night and greeted Ben first as he always does, and Poppy just lay in her bed, and when he went over to her, she stuck her leg in the air....Honest I could not move for laughing!!!

Glad to see the ab's and the painkillers kicked in.. Bless at her lifting her paw as if to say "look i'm pourly or should that be pawly "
Ben sounds such a sweetie too, to pick up on Poppy feeling ill and wanting to make her better, bless him.
Aura sends her dry licks to make her feel better. dry licks as her mouth is a bit dry this morning (trust me dry licks from a boxer is far better than wet sloppy licks )

Thanks Kelz, she is such an actress and I know all about Boxer licks...I had a Boxer Jake, nearly 12 months since we lost him. xxxx
