My first BC, Glen, was a rescue - not from a centre, but from a river, where he'd been thrown with a brick tied to his neck! Not only was he a beautiful boy, he was a perfect gentleman and great with us kids. It is because of him that I have BCs now. When I was in the process of getting Kali, I phoned the local rescue home first, even though I specifically wanted a BC. They knew of only one, in fostercare, but when I contacted the fosterer, the young dog had been rehomed. It was the rescue centre who steered me to the advert in the local bumwiper, selling BC pups, and this resulted in the arrival of KK chez nous. When it came to a second dog, rescue didn't come into it because we had already agreed not to have a second dog We met Snorri-puppy on a trip back to Kali's farm and just fell for him.

Any good reputable breeder does this anyway ! It's only the unscrupulous people who breed for ££££££££ that don't care where the pups end up, who are also the ones responsible for pups ending up in rescues in the first place, as reputable breeders take their pups back !!
