So proud of Kiara today

Bless her Please note no children/dogs were left unsupervised or hurt during this afternoon

None of my dogs have any real experience of little people, there aren't any in my family and none of my friends have any, except one. She came for a visit today with Maddison who's just turned one and has started to walk but is at that need to hold onto someone for confidence stage.

Kiara immediately took over as mum We went out to the garden and Maddison walked along with her little hand on Kiara's side, when she stopped so did Kiz, Maddison got brave and let go and toddled off up the garden, Kiara followed and when she decided Maddison was too far ahead she stood in front of her and stopped her, waited patiently for us to catch up the moved around to Maddison's side before continuing in a perfect walk to heel

It was sooooo cute to see Kiara then showed her intelligence at dinner time when instead of following the spoon of food, waited until mum was looking in the bowl to scoop up some more before getting a swift lick in on Maddison

Luckily Maddison's mum has a dog and lives by the 'a mucky kid is a happy kid' rule

I think some dogs pick up on the fact that children are children and treat them accordingly, much like some dogs do with puppies.
