PS2 Lego Star Wars 2 The Original Trilogy - HELP

Can anybody help us out.

Yesterday Hannah got 'so far' in to the game. Now we've switched it on again today and we're back at the start even though we loaded our saved game.

We can toggle between all the characters we unlocked but we cant 'jump' to the point in the game we had reached.
