just seen this on another forum i had to laugh lol

Kate approaches the Queen and says to her, 'Excuse me Ma’am, but every time I suck William’s ****. I get acid indigestion'

The Queen peers over the rim of her spectacles and replies 'Have you tried ‘Andrews?

Yes, she is. And she seems lovely so I hope she is allowed to be her own person and be true to herself.

It was an awesome event to watch and something to be remembered for all time and i'm happy that i took the time to watch a part of history in the making.

Why on earth people deliberately shunned it is beyond me. For once this is an occasion Britain can be proud of. I want to be able to look back in years to come and say to my kids/grandkids that i watched it and encourage them to support the royal family and be proud of the fact we have something the rest of the world longs for.

certainly must better viewing than the mass hysteria that was the diana funeral.

i watched, enjoyed, and appreciated.
at the same time i am not fussed by those disinterested or shunning of the day

why not?

i watched until the vows, the boring religious speeches put me off thereafter

It was lovely, and I thought the service was lovely! The prayers (that they wrote!) were really moving.

I'll bet my last penny that those people who delibretly shunned the event and have been critising the cost, media coverage etc took full advantage of the extra bank holiday on full pay though so makes them big fat hypocrites. If they felt so strongly about it they should have gone to work or if they were closed then help out at an animal rescue centre etc where they cannot close, but we know that just wouldnt happen because everyone loves a freebie dont they.

And for those who are self employed-well you made that choice.

The royal wedding gave the entire planet a little time to forget the global cash crisis and made me proud to say im English.I wish them both well.
