Well the huge Royal Highland Show starts a week today, and I can't wait I have never been before but have been told how fantastic it is.

I hope the great weather we are currently experiencing continues and we have a fab day out.

Is anyone else going?

The show runs from
Thursday, 24th June - Sunday, 27th June.

Have you found somewhere to stay for your weekend in the Borders? (assuming that is why you are up?)

A few photos from the RHS which I visited on Thursday

Highland Ponies

Shetland Ponies

My favourite, the Clydesdale in the side-saddle class. What a beauty!

Ben enjoyed the sheep tent

Has anyone else been/going to the Highland?

hiya
looks like you had a good time, we went last year as got free tickets, but dont fancy the wander round this year with my massive bump!!

Luca loved the combine harvesters last year and we pretty much spent the whole time at the vehicle areas !!

We did hug a husky (using the word loosely!) a few years ago for "Hearing Dogs for Deaf People"..It was seriously hot that year!
We used to go every year..but over the last 5 or 6 its gotten so commercialised and expensive!

I don't blame you for not wanting to wander around this year Dani! lol

Louise, everything did seem very expensive and prices were so over-inflated on things like food and drink that I doubt I would be in a rush to go again. I think I prefer the small local shows.

I was morified by the admission fee on the gates! Well we didn't get to the gates, but i looked it up on the website last week.

Lovely pics Moobli, your little boy looks just ace.

I'm quite envious, I really wish we could have made it, my fella was moanign about the heat and prices as soon as I suggested going Maybe next year
