Nope, dont do Valentines, i think it is all a big con.

If you are part of a couple, then you are made to feel you should do something and if you are single it makes you feel cr@p for being single.

I shall be going to work as usual and will not be expecting any cards or presents, unless i cant get out the door because of the huge pile of cards the postman will be bringing, then of course i will have to barge my way through the queue of men at my door

My husband and I show our love and appreciation for each other every day and we also always celebrate Valentines Day. We always buy nice cards for each other and I will be cooking a nice meal for him tomorrow evening (a Weight watchers recipe for Shepherds Pie as I'm on a diet ). I will make the table all nice and I've bought a bunch of red flowers to put in a vase on the table and love songs on the stereo will be playing out. Lovely :smt023

We don't make a big deal of it and I've told OH in no uncertain terms not to spend he ridiculous amount of money they charge for flowers! I did however come home to a lovely bunch of flowers yesterday before the price gets stupid. He's really good anyway and I get flowers often and usually on a whim when he knows I'm not expecting them. We have bought each other a Valentines card but even that was difficult as they were either sickeningly mushy or downright pornographic.
I hate the fact that the prices of everything go through the roof. Tomorrow we'll open our cards and that will be enough for us.
