Bring Back.....

Given the utter tosh that passes for entertainment just now, what programs would you love to see back on the box ?

my vote would be for
Folly foot Farm
Smuggler ( young Oliver Tobias, be still my beating heart )
Beasts
Survivor
White Horses
Flight of the Conchords
Sharpe ( Sean Bean + tight breeks+ sword+sash..ladies, need I say more ? )

I've also inadvertently revealed my age group !

Only Fools and Horses
Just Good Friends
The Good Life

Newer versions, of course. Any light, but funny comedies.

At the moment, it's all blood, guts, swearing and sex. Not my scene at all.

Vicar of Dibley!
TOTP (but without rap music!)
More Lead Balloon! Ok I think it's still going but would like more.

There are so many channels now that I think all the stuff worth watching is all so spread out that they have to put in loads of time filling junk! Wish there were less channels! Benidorm and Miranda I quite like though.

Darling Buds of May
Sorry!
The Waltons
Out of town (think that's what it was called) with Jack Hargreaves

And just because they made me laugh:
The 3 episodes of Blue Peter with the St Bernard's, the baby elephant and the girl guides (or was it scouts) where the camp fire became a bonfire.

Survivors was remade, it was good.

Who needs poor older show anyway.
The quality of acting and writing is much better nowadays - we have Homeland, Lost (before it went pear shaped), Sherlock, Dr Who, Torchwood, Oz, The Shield, SouthLand, The Wire, Battlestar Galactica (a remake for you ), all the Stargates, True Blood, The Fades, The Walking Dead, etc, etc.
