Well I would never not exercise him for 3 days, which is when he chooses to go to the toilet. However, I think he would probably make himself ill rather than go in the garden, he had a bad tummy and was crying in pain, I hobbled down the stairs and let him out but he wouldn't do anything yet almost exploded when I got his lead on and took him over the road to the field. I wouldn't want to experiment with him, Leon was the same at this house, it's just this house.

Bad luck. ;(

this is one of the reasons I ensure my dogs will toilet in the garden and if I am ill and cannot take them out, then neither of us has to be put in a difficult position.
