Well I think I've heard it all now...

I was walking Dutch today in the park and I was stopped by a man. He called to me and said 'excuse me love, is that a Bloodhound?'.
I wasnt quite sure who he was referring to at first, but quickly realised he was pointing at Dutch.
I looked at Dutch and then back to the man, surely he was taking the mick? No, he wasnt.
'No' I replied 'he's a Basset'.
'A what?' He said.
'A Basset Hound' I reliped.
'Oh' he said 'a Basket Hound, yes yes, of course!'



A Basket Hound? Whats a Basket Hound?
Now please correct me if I'm wrong, but I have never heard of a Basket Hound before.... but he clearly had.

I just smiled and walked away while quietly giggling to myself.

Poor Dutch, he's been called many a thing in the past: Beagle, Sausage dog, ugly but never a Bloodhound or a Basket Hound.

Graham was out with Guinness a couple of nights ago and a young teen lad said "Hey Mr....my dad's got one of them basset hounds!" Not that weird you may say.......only Guinness is a very large greyhound!!!!
