Not really "pets", but my other sweeties :D

so here we are, just thought I want to introduce my other sweeties to you

so here the first, actually it's my own one
all the others owns my OH but this one I got for Christmas 2011
so for this reason, unfortunately, she's the only one of her herd, which didn't got dehorened, what he uses to do but I absolutely hate!
so at mine then, he didn't get the permission for

her name is Reacherl
which is dialect and means "kleines Reh" - "little deer"
as when she was still a real baby cow, she just looked like one
her fur was really dawn, she had real long spindly legs and huge ears
and also used to have a really small/slim frame

so here my Reacherl
always up for an ear cuddle and a neck rub

some more of her mates
from left to right: Annerl, Berta and Yvonne

...and time for to get the hound on leash
as since she got chased by one older, she prefers the distance to any cattle and would rather run around the pasture than to pass it

...but what's more interesting for any of those curious cows, than such a funny, small animal?

so before she got an heart attack, I put her on my arms, as there she still feels more secure

at the edge of the forest, where they can find shade at hot days and there is also a little wild river flowing through, where they always can get fresh, clear water for to drink

...so it might not always be too fresh
if just Balou means, she has to refresh her bum in it

...but as soon as Berta comes for her checking up...
...she flees behind the fence and tries to hide herself of her

the next one is Christl, she got her name because she was born at Christmas Eve 2011
she got that ring in her nose (not through) because she still thinks, that she's a baby cow and has to suck at the others tiny udders
but she could damaged them really by doing that

the next pic is of a "beer break" in the shade of the woods, the one in blue is my father and the calves wanted to try his beer!
but he didn't agree to that!

and here still one of my absolutely sweeties
actually it's the mom of Yvonne
just calld by me Yvonne mom as my BF never got them names
just "callimg" them by their registry number
but at least, he missed to dehorn her before it was too late

and last but not least, my beloved Gerti
she is an absolutely cuddle cow
really smoochy and sweet
actually this one was the one who once chased Balou across the pasture!

oh well and it's not her fault, that she looks so silly
just missing her beautiful horns

so! and if you went through all of that and thinks I'm crazy, loving cattles, you may be thinking like that

Not crazy - just incredibly brave lol! I am awarding you about 100 cyber awesomeness points as I am dead scared of cattle - I'd be further away from them than your little dog likes to be!

I will cuddle a huge camel. But cows? No way!

Absolutely brilliant photographs giving us a snapshot of your life. Looks very happy.

About 'reacher'. I understand that in Germany (where the Mini Pinschers come from) they too are often called 'reapinscher' or 'rehscher' meaning something like 'little red deer'? Because they resemble them and particularly because of their 'gait'.

hahaha me and brave? no way!
I just know them and they are really all lovely, good girls

differently with our bull
of him I'm really afraid as he is really quite dangerous and no nice fellow at all
so for this he has always to stay tied in the shed
and he only will get let out, when he has to mate one of the good girls

the company of him right close to me, I'll only enjoy when he finally lies in front of me...

...as a lovely juicy steak on my plate!
I know, I'm mean!

...oh and well, you are right about the Rehpinscher
little red deers
so they got that name not because they got bred for hunting deer!

Malpeki, what wondrful photos, good quality and such nice animals. I can't say I know much about cows but I am curious who does feed them while you are away working ? and who milks them?

A small insight into your life in Southern Germany and many people would wish to be in the same life, thanks for posting those pictures

me too

seldom to find someone, who also really loves cows

the only other I still know was my mom, guess I got that of her
with her I also could talk about hours and getting upset about, that nowadays so many cows are getting dehorned
and she grew up at a farm, so she knew where about she was talking
she always said, is a farmer is nice to his cows, they never would hurt him with them deliberately
and is a farmer not nice to them, he just has deserved to get a horn between his rips
