How much to 'you' pay for dog boarding kennels?

Just wondered how much everyone pays for their dog boarding - interested to see if there is much difference from kennel to kennel.

Maybe include:

Kennel name
Location

?

Hi Azz
I used to use Freer Farm, on the A22 at Godstone, Surrey.
They used to charge £22 per day for three Shibas.
I now have a "live in" sitter for when I go away, and I pay £30 a day for her...... I must be nuts, but she's so good, the dogs know and love her, and I know they're safe

I'm in Northern Ireland. The kennels I use charge £14 per dog per night. Others I checked out (all in Greater Belfast area) before settling on the one I use charge between £10.50 - £16 per night.

I used to work in a kennels, they charged between £6 and £10 for 1 dog per night (dependant on size of dog).
Food was included, but you could take your own if you wanted (special diets etc)

Mine are kennelled two together and I am charged £12 per night per kennel. That makes it £6 per dog but I think single dogs cost £8

i called three kennels yesterday to find out rates for may (low season) for two dogs - you supply food for all three.

1. €37 a night (USP - underfloor heating and piped music)

2. €18 a night (USP - being in the countryside)

3. €20 a night (USP - owner loves the dogs more than humans)

I boarded my two in option 3 last year and while Princess had a ball and was queen of the castle poor old Rogue hardly ate and slept for the week. I am trying to find a pet sitting service to see how they compare - My mum would have them in a hearbeat but would be unable to walk them so i may try and find a dogwalker for the week.

We didnt take this much time over sorting out the accomodation for our holiday

they are walked twice a day and have a run around the garden, splash pool (garden pond ) optional.
