Interesting. What really stuck out for me was the mention of "conscientious judges". A lot of it is in their hands I guess, but people won't show under judges they don't like will they? And I guess those taking heed of the KC's advice will fall into this category. It's a difficult one, but I do think it was unwise to single out one breed; it'll be harder to work with people who are feeling victimised, but perhaps the KC are using the peke to 'test the water'?

Just wondered.. on the BBC programme it showed an old painting of a pug and it had a considerably longer muzzle - is it similar for the peke? I can't seem to find any old pictures of them..
