Having grammer and spelling correct will make it more professional, but because of the way people read (without even looking at every letter in a word), some errors would go unnoticed unless examined closely.

I do not think TRUST is about LITERACY...... *rolls eyes*
Professional looking websites are a must these days ,,
We know Tilly but the the general public do not ..
Grammar does not matter me but you only have to read some of the posts on here when people mention grammar to know it matters to a lot of people ....

I don't think perfect grammer strongly correlates to trust though Murf, and professional in relation to a website includes more than just grammer. I spot spelling mistakes and errors even on proofed professional sites! Rather than judging we could be more gentle with our correcting? A little sensitivity doesn't cost anything.

The whole notion of GRAMMER = TRUST is the part I am rejecting. I've never heard something so funny! I mean seriously, do people scour every page then decide whether they want to purchase something based on the correct use of full stops? Madness.

Yes, advise, but the bit I quoted originally is the bit I am contending.

Spelling is important to the credibility of a website. When there are underlying concerns about fraud and safety, then getting the basics right is essential.

First page "your'e" is not anything.
That is also on other pages...

Seriously, I great site, but you do need to get the grammar right, or people will not trust you.
It was already pointed out to me (twice!) & I thought I had changed them all to "your" but I've found another one on the home page so changed that too
BTW I did purposely spell sausage wrong! It's "dog speak" soshhhage!

Ooh yes I remember that thread about grammar & didn't comment because it's obviously not my strong point
But I really don't mind the mistakes being pointed out

I really was only trying to be helpful.

I'm sorry Marchhound, but it is important. When you are running a business, image is incredibly important, and the website may be the first point of contact. If the grammar is wrong and the spelling bad, it can make the company look a bit dodgy. (To some people at least.)
