My New Pets ~ Turkeys

I have been thinking of getting Turkeys for a while now and have researched them ,but I thought I would have to wait till next year and buy some eggs to put under a broody hen
But as it turns out I noticed an ad on a poultry forum for Turkey poults for sale localy ,so I got in touch and swapped some of my young cochin hens for 2 lovely (Pied) Crollwitzer poults ,they are only about 9 weeks old and already quite big ,I am keeping them in for a few days till they settle in then they can freerange with the other birds
and dont worry living here the new motto is ~ A Turkey is for life not just for christmas
