Willow's Op (fracture repair with external fixators)

Hi Guys,

Willow's operation has gone fairly well. The vet says she could be home tomorrow or the following day. :smt001

They said they repositioned the broken bone, that it isn't 100% perfect, but as good as they could get it. There was a lot of granulation (scar tissue) around the broken ends of the bone where it didn't heal properly before. They hope that this time round it will heal and fuse together properly. (This is where my doubts for this op have lay.) All that we can do now is wait and see how it heals. Time will tell.

I'm hoping to get Willlow some Symphytum, a homeopathic treatment that helps with bone injuries and encourages healing. Hopefully it will be of some help.

For now she is recovering at the vet's and on painkillers.

Thank you all for your well wishes, they are much appreciated. :smt001
