Kiara's Home (update @ post 18)

Feeling very sorry for herself She's in her cage fast asleep I've managed to get a bit of chicken down her so I'm quite happy with that, she's got more tablets than a hypocondriac (sp?) Tramadol, antibiotics and metacam - bless her she'll be too stoned to move so that's that bit sorted for the weekend Back to vets on monday for post operative check.

She's got the collar of shame too but I'll leave it off while she's so doped up.

The wound itself looks really neat and tidy, however with me having bad knees and getting close to needing a similar op (without the wires) it makes me feel sick to look at it I can imagine the pain she's in, I know how much mine hurt when they 'go'

Piccie below - I've put it way down so those of you who are squeamish don't have to see it

Thanks Peeps

She's had a good night and is a lot better this morning She's been outside and gone the loo which is a good sign, although she hid round the corner, think she was embarrassed about wobbling on 3 legs I wanted to see how she managed it too

I was really worried about her last night, she was so out of much happier with her today.

She's managing to get about on 3 legs quite well too

Great news that she was home so quickly. Wound looks lovely and neat....better job than my knee surgeon did on me!

It's quite comical watching them try to wee on three legs isn't it? The indignity of it all!

Her front leg on the opposite side will be taking quite a strain. I massaged Saba's shoulder, which seemed to help, but it still got a bit twitchy.

Gentle hugs and wags xx

Glad to hear she is home, and recovering well. Her wound looks really neat.

Our Boots adapted quite well to using three legs - if anything she moved even quicker on three than four!

Poor Kiara but what a relief that she is home after he op. The incision site looks REALLY neat and clean, better than a lot of human surgeons!!! I hope she continues to improve. Gentle hugs to her from me and mine.
