Just when I wanted to get out and do a few things in the garden and work on the gate (which isn't closing properly) along comes the rain Well it will only last half an hour so I just need to be patient. I'm not going out in ther rain



Had ours yesterday, won't need to cook for several days BTW I noticed (from yesterdays post) you are planning a visit to Ickworth Park House. The local rag had a story recently that they are doing extensive renovation works in 2020 so would suggest you phone before going in case they are closed or only part open.


I know Ickworth is now owned by the National Trust but I would not feel comfortable going there after reading how the previous owner squandered millions on fast cars, girls, and drugs. If you inherit a fortune (as he did) you have a duty to use that wealth responsibly, he did not, and he left his younger brother to sort out the mess. I'm pleased to say that he's dead now



Yes brothers can be difficult sometimes but better you have a sore tongue than a row erupts which might take a long time (if ever) to rectify.


He has offered to take care of the legal costs which is IMO quite a generous offer since they might be hefty. Like bookmakers, I've never met a poor lawyer or solicitor
