I'm so sorry Ailsa, I had totally missed all of this and have just read though the whole thread. I really feel for you, but I agree you are doing the right thing by Mo however hard it may seem. You have given him a good time the last few days, so treasure them, just incase it's not good news tomorrow......but don't give up hope just yet, there is still a chance he may be ok.

give him a cuddle from me, he looks such a kindly chap, i'm not surprised you are devasted.......once a dog takes a place in your heart, he will never truly leave..

take care
xx

Sweetie, don't feel you mustn't cry - HUGS!

I'm glad you've been able to come to a decision and I pray that all goes well for tomorrow. Please try and get some rest tonight - I know you probably won't be able to.

I have everything crossed for tomorrow.

Thanks so much again everyone. It's testament to all of you that I have just wanted to come on here and share, as i know you are all there and so kind and supportive. Thank you so much, you have no idea how much you help. You are all brill.

He has gone to the vets. For me, selfishly this morning has been the hardest as I had to say goodbye when OH took him, as though I wouldn't see him again, yet keep it normal so he didn't get upset...we managed it...just.
He was brighter this morning. He had less mucous and what he did have was less bloody. It was sods law that he was hungry but he managed a short walk and coped with it better, which gave us some hope and made the morning easier.
OH is just back and has said the nurse will phone when he comes round.
Positive vibes would be much appreciated for him...

Leo, we explained to my son that they may decide not to wake Mo up, it meant he ahd the chance to say goodbye this morning. He was very brave and full of tears which he managed to hold onto until he had gone. Little star.
Thanks again everyone, I really can't thank you enough for being there and being so kind.
