Another Golden Opportunity

I have missed the entry for a Champ show on Sunday (ILKA) entires closed when I was moving house so I missed it
BUT I am now going to be stewarding for an overseas Judge, Group 6 scenthounds so that includes Dallies, I expect some craic in the ring from my fellow exhibitors for being the "wrong" side with no dog! so don't mess me about you lot - you all know the rules! It's another golden opportunity for great experience at this level (my first at a Champ show ) and FINALLY the IKC has published a stewarding book which is signed off by the Secretary at the end of the day as proof of experience. I need 3 before my judging appointment in December, but stewarding at Clonmel International is confirmed tonight too, and Sligo in two weeks so my "three" are in with another booked for September so I am one in hand.
I might even understand FCI rules a bit better by the end of it!

I did several in the UK some years ago in the Essex area but these were Opens only. However, I had a really great time and the discussions amongst the judges over lunch were FASCINATING to listen to!
It's a great way to get to know people too and surprisingly different being on the opposite side of the ring to usual, a bit like being behind the counter in a shop where you normally are the one doing the shopping. I should get a judge's eye view of the dogs briefly which will be particularly interesting in my breed.
Must remember that Beagles are table dogs rest of Group 6 as scheduled are not.
