My son has been a Sea Cadet for about 2 years now.

They have the most fantastic opportunities to do so many different things and learn new skills.

He has done first aid, navigation, knots, they go out in the boats during the summer and learn safe handling of those etc. In fact they do loads of different things - too many for me to remember and mention. He has a uniform that he has to look after and keep pristine. No bad thing these days!

Plus, he has made lots of new friends.

I am sure Elizabeth will have a great time if she joins.

I was a sea cadet for a while when I was younger, I thoroughly enjoyed it, had lots of fun.
