Hi Losos,

It's law - we can't even crate and freight dogs on the trains for long distance travel.

There are dog freighters - but they are only for long distance travel.

Can crate & freight on airlines - or we could last time I heard, but that doesn't help for around town.

No pets allowed within a couple of hundred metres of out-door dining areas or children's play areas either.

I have heard of a couple of dog cafe's in Sydney and Melbourne, but they are an oddity.

We do seem to have fairly strict rules here.
Dog's must be microchipped and registered with the local council.
Must be on a lead, except in designated leash free areas - there are two within driving distance of me - none within walking distance. Must wear ID at all times etc etc
All poops must be picked up - I have no problem with that - a fine of anywhere between $120 - $200 if you don't.
If it is a dog that is "deemed" to be dangerous, you must have a cage in your yard - it has to be an approved cage.
