I always found it amusing driving to work after they'd let the pheasants out as the ones round here flock on the road. I used to drive through sitting with my hand on the horn to clear them off the road. Within a few weeks they'd either learnt or died... Bob loved this time of year to as the partridge are out in force and like to fly down the round in front of the car.

I have hit many a rabbit, pheasant, pigeon and hare due to the roads I mostly travel on and the animals unfortunate suicidal tendencies. The hares both threw themselves out in front of the car from the verge! I must say as well that if I am at all in doubt as to whether the animal is dead I will reverse back over it. It's bad enough hitting them let alone leaving them to suffer.

Not even thinking about how they impact on local ecosystems....
The real pests of the coutryside?? Humans. We can be sooo bad.

They even made a tv programme about it didn't they?

When there is case law on the subject, I will start getting worried.

Let me know!

You're doing it all wrong.

8 hours in a slow cooker in red wine and garic. Scrummy.

You need to be aiming at em. I can't hit em for the life of me so, don't swerve the chances of hitting em are pretty slim.

My OH, when I had only just met him, called me on the way home from work once to say he had hit a deer and was bringing it home to butcher it.

He arrived, opened the boot......and the deer sprang out on top of him!!!!! Was an eye opener and a half to see a guy you just met wrestle a fully grown deer
