Hi I am also a first time puppy owner (in fact first time dog owner) Meg is a 4 month old staffie, she is very good and'goes' when taken out but she is always on the look out for food even after she's just been fed. Is this normal.

Hi and welcome.

Yep, perfectly normal. My 12 week old would eat until she pops given half the chance

Yes they would eat and eat and eat if not supervised. That's why its important not to just leave food down for them or they will over eat and suffer for it! Congrats on your first puppy
