Absolutely fantastic?!?! What on earth is fantastic about taking innocent lives? That is just sickening, absolutely abhorrent, considering that the vast majority are being held just for how they look. Perhaps they should be looking to change the ridiculous legislation that landed the poor dogs there in the first place rather than half-arsing it even further by killing them all!!

I have no problem destroying dogs that their owners have failed to prevent problems. As I mentioned in the other thread, the owners shouldn't be allowed off either.

Is this a national law perhaps the new government will fix?

There is a demand for less government here now. Maybe it will extend to some of the local BSL nonsense.

We don't fix laws here, we patch them up with sticking tape.

It's a cultural thing. Sorry.

It'd be a good way to save some money. London alone could save £10.6 million of taxpayer's money.

We often revise bad laws here to make them worse.

We had a proposal to do just that with the DDA recently but the politician behind it, Angela Smith, lost her seat in the recent election. Doubtless another populist vote-seeker will be along soon.

Meanwhile, I read, Kit Malthouse, Deputy Mayor with responsibilities for policing, will be writing to Theresa May to ask for "fast track culling powers".
