Maybe Nevis (as in Ben Nevis). It's the only one I could think of as my geography is not so good!

New puppy, very exciting! Can't wait for pics.

Here is a link someone posted when I was on the name hunt, don't know if it will help but they have a big selection and loads of categories...

http://lowchensaustralia.com/names.htm

including this link to Scottish place names with pronunciation and meanings....

What is his pedigree name? That might help give us all some clues. Corran sounds good and so does Affric.
The reason I called my dog Tyto was because it is generic for Owl which is part of his pedigree name. So that might help in naming your new shepherd. Which I am very jealous about having grown up with them and just love the breed.

my uncle had an awesome gsd called Lochinvar (lochy for short)

i lived in Nevis Close and all our street names are named similarly. Nevis would sound a bit odd maybe but it is 'Ben' Nevis

my best friend lived in 'Deveron' walk could go Dev for short??

I like:

Ledi (as in Ben Ledi)
Cuillin
Ossian (Loch Ossian)

So hard to choose a name! Can't wait to see pics of the pup!

He actually ended up as Yogi! Not a Scottish mountain name at all!
