Dont know how they did it last year but this year you had to pay up front and they then decided whether you could take part. Am under the impression they were looking for a large range of diff types of dog? If you werent selected you got a refund. My friend and her fella did it with their 4 Dobes

I know of one lady that did it last year but not sure why they haven't gone again. Might be down to money, after all alot of people are having to tighen belts and are losing jobs. So a trip to brum for crufts may not be at the top of the list . . . Just a thought.

My OH wants to get into this will Ela when she is old enough (hip scores pending) so maybe you will see her and him in a couple of years

Just thought i would pop in and put a few things straight seeing as it is myself, my dogs and dogs i have trained that you are all talking about! I ran at crufts last year with Jerry-Lee (came 6th place) & my friend Nina ran with her dog Deefer and came 1st! You can check the cani x website for all results for all their races. I myself competed for most of last season as did all my dogs with myself and other keen runners and did really well. That would be my crossbreeds (lol) , gsd and czech wolfdog cross (another crossbreed). I do not run cani x anymore for personal reasons but do still run the odd cani cross event in fact i ran at the Wyedean Quest a 4 mile course a couple of weeks ago. This racing season i am too busy running around the uk racing canadian eskimo dogs and my own cross breeds and training most days on a mountain bike or running with the dogs oh and as for crufts i was on discover dogs and showing so again far too busy for running around the nec carpark! Er as for eilleen (head honcho for cani x) i can assure you she is well aware of inuit dogs she has spoken to me on several occasions and if you enter a cani cross event online the inuit is clearly there in the drop down box also one of my friends who ran cani cross this year who runs a labradoodle also has an inuit but she has been spayed so couldnt run in fact my friend was asked why she wasnt running her..... as for the other hundreds of inuit dogs in this country i cant answer for them can i? But if anyone ever wants to borrow a fit, health tested dog that can run well in harness and has a fantastic temperament with a good working attitude ive got a few that im more than willing to let compete elsewhere!!!!i do not know why other people are not running their dogs, racing their dogs, doing agility, obedience or anything else constructive really but all i know is that my dogs and puppies that others have from me are doing stuff with their dogs. If anyone wants to see any pictures or would like any further info on what Akna Dogs do and events we take part in or perhaps would like some help or advice getting into something fun with your dog then please pm me with your email address or telephone number, thanks. Perhaps if anyone is also willing to sponsor my dogs so we can do every event in the calendar thats fitting it inbetween ring craft, giving blood, pets as therapy visits, socialisation, agility, bikejorring, running, dry land mushing, swimming, work and kids then im up for anything

P.s I do hope this thread wasnt started with all the so and so said this and never saw them bla bla to perhaps inevitably end up with another locked thread? Cos unless anyone wishing to rise to a challenge of perhaps a 10 mile run through some forestry commision land or maybe a 20 mile trek (via rig, bike or scooter) or anything else dog related im afraid i wont be argueing the toss over what dogs ive got and what i do with my spare time other than sat at my computer eating cake and waiting for next inuit dog fight to break out!!!!!

I dont think the thread was started for that reason at all! It was because of the Crufts coverage of Cani X and there were no NI's there!!

I DID ask about the NI on the stand, the lady looked at me like I was nuts!!!

As i said the main person at cani x is eileen cooke, she usually mans the stand and is well aware of the dogs as she has seen them many times and spoken about them....oh well we obviously didnt leave such a lasting imprint on cani x as we thought seeing as we did so well last season, never mind!!!!

Thank you i have always been a positive dog owner, regardless of breed and im afraid that i am one of a few people that actually make the effort in a positive way! Not only that there are far too many people lurking in the wings ready to jump on the band wagon to put us down. Cant do right for doing wrong! So i will just continue from now on, enjoying my dogs, enjoying my hobbies and enjoying what time i have with them.
